There’s a new restaurant tucked away inside the Westgate Mall that’s sure to tempt Mississauga foodies with a global palette.
Since opening its doors in early October, Nubia Restaurant has offered its customers a multicultural dining experience blending quick and casual menu dishes from Africa, the Middle East and North America.
Olla Mohamed works at the family restaurant with his mother and says that the various items on the restaurant’s menu are inspired by natural aromas and flavors from around the world.
“We’ve been able to combine all of the items into one menu because people sometimes prefer not to stick to one cuisine,” Mohamed told insauga.com.
The menu includes a selection of hearty soups served with pita bread, refreshing Middle Eastern salads and dips like Hummus, tabouleh, and a Nubian Labneh made from strained yogurt, fenugreek seeds and extra virgin olive oil.
For the biggest appetites, the Nubia restaurant offers many wraps and main dishes. From shwarmas and falafels to lamb shanks, curries and kebabs, Nubia Restaurant has a lot to offer hungry Mississaugans.

While Nubia Restaurant is still rolling out its delivery options, customers can order in-store or call ahead for take out. Mohamed said that Nubia will be launching special offers very soon, including “invite a friend” vouchers.
The Nubia restaurant is open Monday to Friday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
